I enjoyed listening to this, it gave me a lot of knowledge that I'm already using. I needed a kick in the ass to stop taking shit from some people, this program was right on time in my life. I figured either that or join the army or something :))

I didn't intend to write a review (being lazy about it) but after I read the previous review I feel that I should write my own experience with Power Social Skills so to balance the picture.

Now that the previous review mentioned it, it's true that Carlos Xuma has a bit of a monotonous way of talking, true he's no Anthony Robbins, however at least to me the content of the program was gold. He was talking about situations similar to ones that I personally experienced and, admittedly, in retrospect, dealt with the wrong way, since they caused me a lot of agony for long periods of time. If I had listened to this product earlier, I believe that i would have handled those situations differently.

About the 'can't walk away thing' written in the previous review, I actually have A LOT to say about that. You can't walk away from some situations, but you can walk away from many many others, more than you usually imagine, and more than you believe that it's "correct" to walk away from. Many times it's just either your ego or your fear of being scorned for it by your peers or family (or even your own conscience) that stops you. At least that was my case. There's a saying that your friends can be your worst enemies, and most of the time they don't hurt you willingly or consciously, but they're just a very bad influence in your life, and they're killing every chance you have to ever be a great person and to grow. They do that either by religiously clinging to you and wasting every moment you have or simply by projecting their negativity over and over until you can't see anything else and can't make room for anything positive in your heart anymore.

It's very hard to push away these people because they're friends or as I said even family. But the fact is that they're DESTROYING you, nothing less. And there's no point in talking to them about it because they're all nothing but good intentions, at least consciously. I'm turning 40 these days and oh, if I was just walking away from certain situations in the past.. if I just had the guts to say 'fvck all the don't be impolite rules' or fvck all the 'return love to all those who love you' rules, and just walk away.. I would have saved years and years of wasted time and useless pain.

My point - I don't know if this product is packaged in the most professional way or if the audio correlates 100% to the table of contents as the previous review mentioned, or if Carlos Xuma has good vocal cords, but when I bought this product, I simply listened to it without trying to grade it, and the content simply hit a cord big time for me. There are true words of wisdom there and true life lessons that as I mentioned at least for me, could have saved many wasted years if I was smart enough to reach them earlier in my life.

IMHO - this product is highly recommended for its content. I guess the previous review had good points about the packaging and product cosmetics, and the buying process (5 emails etc.), but honestly, I was never bothered by this since I consider this irrelevant to my life. The content hit the spot. I'm no "guru critic" and I couldn't give a damn about anything else than the actual content he delivers. I guess if Carlos is reading this page he can take notes to improve the delivery of the product so to please more buyers, but then again, that's none of my biz :)

I should have asked for my money back on this program. I am not sure how Carlos' other programs are, but based on PSS, I will never buy anything from him again. I had an incredibly tough time listening to the program due to his lack of voice inflection and aimless rambling, or so it seemed like. I enjoyed listening to several of Tony Robbins program because his charisma powers over the audio CD medium--not the case with PSS. The program is broken down into "personality types" and "games." I truly would like to see his references because it seemed like he got them out of some outdated books and just slapped them together.

The ebook/notes that came along with the program were vastly unrefined--some topics seem unimportant in the writing while occupied a large portion of the audio. Some points were never even talked about in the audio. The MAJOR problem I had with this program is that he suggests "WALKING AWAY" from most situations he discribes. In real life, THIS CANNOT BE DONE. YOU CAN'T JUST WALK AWAY.

Also, his ordering service can be vastly improved--got more than 5 emails that seemed like junk and were very repetitive. I'm glad I canceled my $20/month subscription to whatever he was trying to promote.
