Ever heard of David X or Mode One? These are two prominent preachers of hard core, brutally honest direct game.
Just a couple of days ago (Jan 30, 2009) David X was interviewed by Mode One on his radio show, and you can listen to the 90 minutes interview below.
Does brutally direct game work? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, as always :) Also depends a lot on if it sits well on you (if you are 'congruent' with it).
It does have a good sense of honesty, and most decent people prefer being that way - they just believe that they can't afford to most of the time. So maybe this interview will bring you good news.
Won't hurt to give direct game a try if you haven't already! Just don't get too cultish about it. Go with the flow and do it when it feels right - your senses should be your ultimate guru.
Although I agree that the more direct game the merrier :)

These are two people I have utmost respect for. It is sad how bright young men brainwash themselves and don't even get laid in the process!
