Zip: this is the noise a jacket makes as it readies itself for the trip out into the weathered World. This same noise can be likened to the progression of the Pick Up Arts: a new third generation way of thinking accompanied by a new third generation way of teaching.
Zip: A brilliant female; product and producer of this fresh idea and lifestyle.
Nearly a year ago, on the pick-up-artist-forum, a woman came calling. I was new to the community, however, I was versed enough to know that there were a fair share of women already offering what they could. And as great the help they could provide for some people, it did not seem revolutionary to me at the time.
I rarely visited "that portion" of the forums at first. The majority of my efforts were spent on inner game and interactions with my mentor. I was improving enough to be content but at a very slow pace and in very limited parts of my life. As I chugged along my personal "canned" journey, I noticed her and those she was helping quickly 'zipping' by me. She became widely popular on the forums. Zip's theories became prominent, and her ideas became well known. She was expanding herself, the forums, and all persons involved! After noticing this, I began paying a little more attention. Seeing all these people becoming great things... "well, maybe I could take her miracle pill too."
I started looking into the things she was providing the public. I saw intricate writings and surprising theories that were completely different than everything I had been reading (and what most people were reading) at the time. I now began to pay even more attention. People started to recommend conversing and inquiring to her for direct answers to their individual problems. They pointed friends and family members in Zip's direction for guidance and resolution. I only spent my time on the forums during that period, but I don't think it would be false to say her name began to echo throughout the entire pick-up community itself.
Time went on, and we would occasionally bump into each other working on different theories, ideas, strategies and recommendations. Most of the time our presence ran parallel. I still had not sought help from her; I still continued to struggle.
It was not until 6 months ago that I was officially introduced to the talent of this young (but very mature) woman. A 'seminar' in Nashville. Many people attended this gathering, and I would have to say everyone enjoyed it. There were several other senior PUA's attending. Throughout the trip, each one devoted time to helping those who needed it. Being that there were plenty of capable teachers within our group, the observation that EVERYONE attending at some point turned to her in search of inner game issue resolution, outer game issues, frame issues, canned material problems, moderation, fashion tips, and even ideas on how to instruct better. Anything and everything... it was a very interesting observation to say the least.
Seeing her in action at this 'seminar' was when I decided to tag her as “A Student of the Arts and a Teacher of the Trade." Zip didn't just preach things or sit behind a keyboard and write things down. She read, learned, taught herself, then guided the others. Observing her instructing at the seminar was also when I began to notice the change in the community with my own eyes. From second generation to third. From using canned material and generic guidelines to making it about lifestyle change. She introduced that not only to me, but to the entire forums and to everyone on the bottom part of the pick-up pyramid. She coordinated self-improvement and developed social improvement.
I saw great hope. I personally did not like the way second generation worked; it was too robotic for me. With this new combination of techniques to become a better person brought to the foreground, I became giddy with excitement. I became passionate in wanting to learn as much as I could and enthusiastic about spreading what I had already learned. I grew exponentially from this discovery.
As time went on our paths crossed more. Being so amazed by this new pick-up mentality, I did not turn to her in seek of help or guidance; I instead decided that I wanted to contribute and be part of this new style. Our interactions became frequent; we began to share sarging strategies, theories, tips, ideas, and methods. We were assisting each other in a broad spectrum of growth.
Zip was (and is) a professional wing-woman in the city of New York, a huge city. Some could say one of the biggest PUA locations around. She is part of the scene that has been touched by the "masters" themselves. However, her mentoring is much more than winging. I know not just from my experience, but because I've met some of her clients. I've watched them from the beginning and saw their development, improvement, and change. Some of it seemed to happen practically overnight! It was amazing, and she did wonders. She required all the effort one could give, spoke only the truth, and guided rather than directed. All this while compacting their insecurities into a tiny little capsule so that they could man up and swallow them down. I've come to realize: THAT is the true magic pill.
Her approach to the arts strikes people with surprise. She guides people through treacherous hardships only to re-emerge on the other side, hand in hand as better, more comfortable persons.
Zip's talents don't stop at mentoring. On the pick-up-artist-forum her posts continuously receive the most activity. Her main perspective post is currently running strong on over 24000 views - being on its 65th page! Throughout the Internet her theories ring. She writes publicly for prominent companies, and works as a professional trainer in others. She has even started
her own blog, where she goes through tales of her life. Not just for laughs, but also for guidance. To show people that you can be who you want to be and still maintain great value, have great intentions, do fun things, make drastic changes, and have no regrets.
One of her most recent accomplishments was a huge step in the small community. She was requested to be brought under the employ of a Pick-Up-Artist Guru: Gambler, as a
1-on-1 trainer. A nod in her direction for that. I am writing this because I care for the community. I believe EVERYONE should have the chance to share this, to learn from her. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the things she offers.
I have only been around for a year's time. That really isn't that long, but being on a large forum, I have met MANY people and a fair share of senior PUA's. Bringing all of them to mind, only a very limited few stand out. Zip is one of them. I have not met everybody, so I cannot say that she is THE treasure of the community, but I will say she is a twenty dollar bill on the floor of a bar, in a Canadian casino.
Considering this is an article written from my view, I also chose to use my testimonial. Many will be easily found but none can strike truer from my mouth than the words I am certain of:
"Through the first year of my studies in the art of pick-up and the first real focus I spent on self improvement I continuously struggled with sticking points. No matter what I did and who I talked to, the same problems arose. Again and again. In less than twelve hours with Zip, my issues vanished and my mind cleared. Obviously, I am always working to better myself, but the large hurdles were overcome. She knows the how's, the why's, and the what's of self and social improvement.
Even better is that she herself is well-rounded. She lives what she teaches. She is well worth the time and energy... mental anguish... blood, sweat, tears, and vomit. She WILL help you find that new you."
The community is a deep (and sometimes dark) place. Don't take my word for any of this. Visit the forums. Visit her training. Ask other people. Better yet, take some time to form your own opinion. As our world's markets crash, the best and only way you should invest is into a sure thing. Zip might just be that sure thing; Invest your time, invest your life - growth is the only outcome. As she says, I will say for her: '...welcome to the first day of a new you.' "
